May 08 - 3rd Annual Mother’s Day Brunch @ Solare!
Important! Mother’s Day will be here before you know it – and now is the time to make your reservation so you can get the best times for a delicious brunch. May 06 - Rare Italian Opportunity: Altesino + Barone Pizzini ~ Owner & Winemaker Dinner
OK – we are lucky! We have the Owners and Winemakers of legendary Tuscan Brunello winery, Altesino, and famed Franciacorta producer, Barone Pizzini, here for an epic dinner. They want to keep it small and intimate … and we are limited to 12 guests. Yes, we have Alessandra Angelini of Altesino and she will be telling us all about her family’s winery in the Montalcino region of Tuscany. Altesino is one of the very best Brunello producers … and the line-up will include the 2010 Brunello and their very high-end Altesino 2011 Brunello Montosoli. And – she is joined by Silvano Brescianini, the CEO & winemaker of Barone Pizzini, an amazing winery in the Franciacorta area. This is a DOCG designated region that makes some of Italy’s best sparkling wines … in the méthode champenoise style. May 05 - 4 Seasons ~ 4 Italian Chefs ~ Spring!
Our good friend, Stefano Poggi of Batasiolo Winery in Piemonte, took the lead in organizing this great dinner. 3 restaurants and 4 chefs are collaborating to offer you a culinary extravaganza. Featuring: Chefs Cassineri Mario and Francesca Penoncelli from Bice San Diego ~ Chef Stefano Ceresoli from Piazza 1909 ~ Chef Accursio Lota from Solare Ristorante. And of course, Stefano will be pouring Batasiolo wines from Piemonte – including their incredible Barolo 2011. This is the second in a series of events celebrating the seasons like only true, authentic Italians can. The focus this time is Spring! Wine and dine to your heart’s content on real Italian expressions. The dinner starts at 6:30pm, and is $89++. We are participating in the 3rd Annual “Bite of Point Loma” fundraiser to raise funds for Point Loma High School (PLHS). The event will be a “walking” tour and participants will sample many delicious dishes from fabulous Liberty Station restaurants. Event Details: May 3rd, from 5:30-8:30p.m. at Liberty Station. Solare will be offering a special sample treat for free … and Tommy has created a “Point Loma Breeze” cocktail featuring San Diego spirits for $6. Purchase Tickets here

April 30 - San Diego Food Bank ~ Foodtasia: Chefs Cork and Craft Gala
Solare is excited to be part of “Foodtasia 2016” with the San Diego Food Bank. Our 3rd year participating! Join an evening of sumptuous cuisine brought to you by our most celebrated hometown chefs benefiting the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank. The “Foodtasia: Chefs Cork and Craft Gala” will feature the best chefs in San Diego County. Each chef will host their own personal table of 10 guests and prepare a multi-course dinner of their signature, culinary delicacies.
