January 09 - Cooking Class: Ravioli and Fresh Pasta from Scratch (Sold Out)

Solare’s pasta is made fresh every day – in our kitchen. This is an opportunity to see exactly how Chef Accursio makes that happen! He will teach you all the right techniques to enable you to make the best “pasta fresca” and perfect ravioli. This is a hands-on pasta making class where you will learn the classic dough techniques and so much more. The fun starts at 10:30am at Solare with an Italian-style coffee of your choice and a pastry. January 07 - “Celebrate Wines of Baja!” Dinner

We are so lucky to be able to live in such a beautiful city as San Diego … and we are also lucky to be so close to an amazing up-and-going wine region: Valle de Guadalupe/Baja California, Mexico! So for this dinner we have Baja wine expert, Tom Bracamontes, and Bob Gelman of Grape Connections here in Point Loma leading a special dinner where we will enjoy great Baja wines and learn all about the region and the latest happenings there. $74++ per person for the 5 wines and 4 courses ~ 6:45pm Dinner and 6:15pm Reception with Tom, Bob, and Randy. ~~ RSVP Today

January 01 - New Year’s Day – Solare is Closed

Solare is closed all day on New Year’s Day to allow our Team to relax and be with their families.

December 31 - New Year’s Eve Dinner and Party!

We are having a fabulous New Year’s Eve Dinner (5-course dinner) … and Party! Please plan on celebrating the New Year with the Solare Team. Here are the details: Special 5-course dinner from Chef Accursio ~~ 69++/person for seatings from 4:30pm to 6:15pm ~~ $89++/person for seatings starting at 6:30pm (includes the Party that night) ~~ Full Bar ~~ Party goes till 2am. It was fun last year. SPECIAL NOTE!! The fine folks at the Marriott Courtyard right by Solare are making a limited block of rooms available to Solare customers at $159 per night for New Year’s Eve (deadline December 10). That’s an incredible price available by contacting us! You can party with us at Solare and then just grab a shuttle or walk to your room. This is what I am doing! December 29 - Odd Bins! Help finish off some great wines!

We buy a lot of great wines from all across Italy and all along the west coast of North America. Petra, Tommy, and I just did an inventory of our wine cellar — and we have lots of wine where we have just one or two bottles left. With just one or two bottles, we really can’t place them on our wine list – so now is the time to finish them off. And we need your help! So on this evening (and Tuesday, December 29 also) we will be opening many-many bottles and offering fun eclectic tasting flights at bargain prices. Here’s how it works: From 5pm to closing we will have a large selection of wines available in 2oz and 4oz tasting pours. Many of the 2oz pours are just $2! We also have a couple surprise “high-end” wines that we decided to include to spice things up! You can have the wines at your table over dinner … or just hanging out at the bar or lounge.
