April 30 - San Diego Food Bank ~ Foodtasia: Chefs Cork and Craft Gala

Solare is excited to be part of “Foodtasia 2016” with the San Diego Food Bank. Our 3rd year participating! Join an evening of sumptuous cuisine brought to you by our most celebrated hometown chefs benefiting the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank. The “Foodtasia: Chefs Cork and Craft Gala” will feature the best chefs in San Diego County. Each chef will host their own personal table of 10 guests and prepare a multi-course dinner of their signature, culinary delicacies. April 23 - Cooking Class: Gnocchi and Bolognese

A full immersion in gnocchi and slow braised Bolognese sauce — the essence of the Emilia-Romagna region. You will learn to twist the traditional recipe of gnocchi, by filling them with sausages, by creating different tastes, and shapes, so you can surprise your family and guest at home. The fun starts at 10:30am at Solare with an Italian-style coffee of your choice and a pastry. Italian wine is served for students interested in “cooking with wine”. – Limit 10 – $75/student that includes the class, wine, and lunch. Contact us for details.

Do you love seafood? If yes, this could be the most special dinner you’ll have! This is because we have the amazing Tommy Gomes of Catalina Offshore Products here for an “Evening of Seafood”. The short summary is that we know of no one that knows more about seafood … and who has stronger opinions! … than Tommy. And he is an excellent speaker with fun charisma and he will both delight you and scare you with his talk.
