Please join us for a special Christmas Eve dinner – a Holiday Feast with traditional dishes from Italy! For this entire evening, we will be sharing special Italian Holiday dishes with a prix fixe special menu.

It is a 4-course dinner with lots of selections that is $68 for adults — and we definitely have a simpler menu for kids with our holiday kid’s menu.

Cooking Classes at Solare. Here is our schedule for October and November 2024.

Typically $95++ per student with some exceptions.  Includes the hands-on cooking class, wine, and a full lunch.  Limit is usually 10 students per class.

We love doing Cooking Classes here at Solare!

Our Cooking Classes offer a truly hands-on experience allowing each student to create Italian cuisine themselves to make at home.  Our classes are not just a “demonstration”.

The fun typically starts at 10:30am at Solare (10am for some classes) with an Italian-style coffee of your choice.  Italian wine is served for students interested in “cooking with wine”.

• Sep 28 – Lasagna with Chef Maria (sold-out)
• Oct 12 – Lasagna with Chef Maria
• Oct 19 – Seafood Italian-style
• Nov 9 – Making Pizza from Scratch!
• Nov 23 – Gnocchi, Pesto, & Bolognese
• Nov 30 – Osso Buco and Risotto

November 15 - Italian Wine Dinner: Barolo and Barbaresco ~ An Evening in Piemonte!

An Evening in Piemonte!! We just confirmed that Adam Verona from the epic Michele Chiarlo Estate Winery will be at Solare.

Yes! The Dinner is on a Friday this time!

Would you like to learn more about the amazing wines of Piemonte? Do you already love and appreciate Barolos and Barbaresco wines? ? If the answer is “yes” to either question, then you will want to join this dinner!

By calling in a few favors, I was able to get Adam Verona from the world-renown Italian winery, Michele Chiarlo, to be at Solare for an evening of Piemonte wines.

There is limited seating since it’s a Friday night – I recommend contacting us asap to reserve your spots.

November 09 - San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival — Grand Tasting

Solare is delighted to be part of the San Diego Bay Wine+Food Fest Grand Tasting on Saturday, Nov 9. It is (by far) the largest and most fun wine event in the area. We have a “booth” at the event with tastes of great Solare food.
