June 14 - June 15 - Father’s Day Weekend at Solare Ristorante
Join us for Father’s Day Weekend!
On Saturday and Sunday, June 14 and 15 – it’s this weekend. Reserve today to get the table and time you want.

We open at 11am on Sunday June 15 – and 12pm noon on Saturday. We have a wonderful selection of special Italian dishes for Father’s Day.
We are doing special things with our Chocolate and Orange Semifreddo dessert – Piemontese style Veal Cheecks with Polenta – Seared Scallops – a special home-made pasta with a duck ragu – Maria’s minestrone – the Tomahawk Pork Chop (shown above) and more.

June 11 - Italian Wine Dinner with Maculan Estate – Meet Angela!
On Wednesday, June 11, we have Angela Maculan here – owner of Maculan Estate which is located in a gorgeous and historic part of the region of Veneto.
Maculan Winery was founded in 1947 by Giovanni Maculan. The winery has been family-owned for three generations, with Angela and her sister now leading the estate.
Angela herself will be here in San Diego for this special visit. Her estate is located in the historic village of Breganze, founded in 9000 BC – the late Bronze Age (!!).

June 09 - Italian Wine Dinner with Tommasi Estate – Amarone!
On Monday, June 9, we have the wines of Tommasi Estate just outside the city of Verona.
Tommasi founded in 1902 is one of the absolute leaders of Amarone – a truly classic style of Italian wine.
We have Paride Nardotto, who is with Tommasi, is here to lead this dinner. We will be enjoying the cuisine of the Verona region (thanks Chef Denice!) while we enjoy 5 great Tommasi wines.

May 28 - Edible San Diego and Wine Wednesday with Local Vintners at Solare
Edible San Diego is a champion of locally made wine because it’s a best-kept secret to most residents and visitors. Let’s change that! We partner with the countywide group that represents all local vineyards and winemakers, the San Diego County Vintners Association (SDCVA) with their annual celebration of local wine, San Diego Wine Week, culminating with the much-beloved Wine Festival at Bernardo Winery. The magazine is doing something special again with the incomparable Solare Ristorante. We’ll be featuring four local wines for you to taste and learn about from the winemakers themselves. A bubbly wine will greet you as you arrive. Then, Randy from Solare will present mouthwatering Italian delicacies for paired tastings of white, rosé, and red wine, plus winemaker talks led by Heidi Greenwood, special guest editor of the Campestre Mag features in issue 77.
This exclusive experience will include tastings from:
Live DJ music by Winyl Club will set the mood.
Solare Ristorante is located in San Diego’s historic Liberty Station and there’s plenty of free parking nearby.

May 19 - Italian Wine Dinner – San Felice in Tuscany – Leonardo Bellaccini is here!
Very special guest! Winemaker Leonardo Bellaccini of San Felice Winery is here for one day only on Monday, May 19.
You are invited to join an epic Italian Wine Dinner with Leonardo.
San Felice Winery and Leonardo are top (top!) favorites of Solare. We are so lucky to have Leonardo here for this exclusive Release Dinner in San Diego.
