August 08 - Italian Wine Dinner: With the Winemaker of Vignalta Winery – Sold Out
An epic Wine Dinner around one small community table with Winemaker, Lucio Gomiero, of Vignalta Winery located in Veneto, Italy. In the Venetian Hills of Northern Italy! It is an extra good dinner because it is with the Winemaker … and it is a small boutique dinner in our private room. Limit 16 persons. Yes, we have the winemaker (and my wonderful friend) here for a Wine Dinner at Solare. July 29 - “Spirits of San Diego” Dinner with Tommy — The Spirits of Summer!
This is a fabulous “Spirits Dinner”! An evening with Tommy … and 4 San Diego Distillers (local spirits!). Yes, we are having a 4-course Dinner featuring “Farm to Bar” Cocktails by Tommy with 100% of the spirits coming from 4 local San Diego distilleries – and each cocktail featuring local produce, fruits, and herbs. We have the Founders and Leaders of the following distilleries joining the dinner … you will meet them and hang out during the evening: Henebery Celebrated Whiskey, You and Yours Distilling, Malahat Spirits, and Liberty Call Distilling. For each course, you will enjoy a fun cocktail designed by Tommy to pair well with a dish in a collaboration with Chef Accursio. $68/person ~ 6pm Reception with Tommy and the distilleries … and 6:45pm dinner. July 28 - Cooking Class – Authentic Pizza from Scratch
Have you ever wanted to learn how to make pizza in the authentic style from the renowned city of Napoli? How about a tasty Sfincione from Sicily; Focaccia from Liguria? Here is your perfect opportunity — Pizza Chef Brian will guide you through each step – starting with making the dough from scratch. This is very HANDS ON – you are learning to make pizza and not just watching someone else show you. Each student will take home extra dough to show off their pizza making skills that evening at home! The fun starts at 10:30am at Solare with an Italian-style coffee of your choice and a pastry. In order to allow our Team to be with Family and Friends … Solare will be closed all day (lunch & dinner) on Wednesday, July 4. We will be open for lunch starting at 11:30pm on Thursday, July 5.
