October 26 - October 27 - Solare at Ballast Point: Autumn Food & Beer Pairing

Solare and Chef Accursio have teamed up with Ballast Point and Chef Rocio Fleckenstein for two fun “Food + Beer” dinners. They are on Friday, October 26, and Saturday, Oct 27. Seating is limited to 30 persons each evening. The dinner begins at 7pm, and the price is $70++ for the 4-course dinner and Ballast Point beer pairing. October 24 - Italian Wine Dinner with Piemonte Winery, Batasiolo

Do you love great Barolos? Wines from Piemonte? If yes, then you will want to join this dinner with Stefano Poggi from Batasiolo Winery. Batasiolo is the leading family run winery in Barolo in Piemonte, Italy. October 13 - Cooking Class: Gnocchi and Bolognese

A full immersion in gnocchi and slow braised Bolognese sauce — the essence of the Emilia-Romagna region. You will learn to twist the traditional recipe of gnocchi, by filling them with sausages, by creating different tastes, and shapes, so you can surprise your family and guest at home. The fun starts at 10:30am at Solare with an Italian-style coffee of your choice and a pastry. Italian wine is served for students interested in “cooking with wine”. – Class sized limited to 10 persons – $85/student that includes the class, wine, and lunch. October 10 - David Fokos – Kenwood Wine “Artist Series” Release Party

We are delighted to report that the art of world-renown San Diego artist, David Fokos, was selected to be the art on the label of the prestigious Kenwood Winery Artist Series wine for their 2014 vintage. It is an Open House “mingling” event with appetizers and finger foods plus 5 delicious Kenwood wines including the just released “2014 Kenwood Artist Series” wine. A special Italian Wine Dinner with the world famous Banfi Winery. A 4-course dinner with 5 Banfi wines from Tuscany … and the wine tasting portion of the dinner is led by Luciano Castiello. Luciano is the official ambassador for Castello Banfi, and unofficial ambassador for Italy’s melody-filled, wine-charmed, “slow food” culture. A wonderful wine+food experience. Banfi, for all practical purposes, put Brunello di Montalcino (go sangiovese!) on the map! $88/person for Chef Accursio’s 4-course dinner and 5 wines. 6:45pm Dinner and 6:15pm Reception.
