Do you love wine? We do!
We buy a lot (understatement) of great wines from all across Italy and all along the west coast of North America. Petra, Tommy, and I just did an inventory of our wine cellar — and we have lots of wine where we have just one or two bottles left. With just one or two bottles, we really can’t place them on our wine list – so now is the time to finish them off. And we need your help!
So this Wednesday (Jan 5) we will be opening many-many bottles and offering a fun, build your own wine tasting experience at bargain prices.
Here’s how it works: From 4:30pm to closing there will be a “walking” wine tour available in the lounge and bar area. We will have a large selection of wines available in tasting pours. Some of the pours are just $2! We also have a couple surprise “high-end” wines that we decided to include to spice things up!

December 31 - Solare New Year’s Eve Dinner & Party!
We are having a fabulous New Year’s Eve Dinner (4-course dinner) … and Party! Please join us and celebrate the New Year with the Solare Team.
Here are the details:
- Special 4-course dinner that we are designing
- $75/person for seatings before 6pm
- $85/person for seatings starting at 6pm (includes the Party that night and Champagne Toast)
- DJ you’ll really like
- Full Bar available
- Party goes till 2am
- $99 Marriott rooms

Special Note! The fine folks at the Marriott Courtyard right by Solare are making a limited block of rooms available to Solare customers at a reduced rate of $99 per night for New Year’s Eve (deadline December 15).
That’s an incredible price available only by contacting us! You can party with us at Solare and then just grab a shuttle or walk to your room. This is what I am doing!

December 25 - Christmas Day
Solare is closed all day on Christmas Day to allow our Team to relax and be with their families and friends. We open again Sunday, December 26 at 12pm noon. Buon Natale!

December 24 - Solare Christmas Eve Dinner
Please join us for a special Christmas Eve dinner – a Holiday Feast with traditional dishes from Italy! For this entire evening, we will be sharing special Italian Holiday dishes with a prix fixe special menu. It is a 4-course dinner with lots of selections that is $65 for adults and we can definitely do something simpler for kids with our holiday kid’s menu. You can make your reservation today.

November 18 - Tommy Gomes – An Evening of Seafood
Do you love seafood? If yes, this could be the most special dinner you’ll have! San Diego’s own incredible fishmonger, Tommy Gomes, is at Solare for an “Evening of Seafood”. The short summary is that we know of no one that knows more about seafood … and who has stronger opinions! … than Tommy. And he is an excellent speaker with fun charisma, and he will both delight you and scare you (in a good way) with his talk.
