September 18 - Emilio Nares Foundation – Harvest for Hope
The Emilio Nares Foundation (ENF) is amazing – and Solare will be helping sponsor them again this year at their 19th Annual Harvest of Hope event. The ENF provides family support systems and information for families with children with cancer. “Harvest of Hope” starts at 2pm at Coasterra on 880 Harbor Island Dr.

The Emilio Nares Foundation’s signature event Harvest for Hope has been bringing people together since 2003, raising over 3 million dollars for children battling cancer in Southern California. These funds have been crucial for the survival for low income children fighting cancer. ENF has travelled over 1 million miles, and served over 4,000 children getting them to their cancer treatments.
Solare will be there with a special dish! See you on Sunday, September 18.

September 17 - San Diego Zoo – Food Wine & Brew Celebration
This is a great party! Each year the San Diego Zoo holds a “Food Wine & Brew Celebration” and 2022 is their 42st annual event.
Solare will be there again in full force. It is held at the Zoo, and VIP entrance is 6:30pm ~ Early Admission at 6:30pm ~ and General Admission at 7:30pm. Get all the details here and visit our cool booth. Let’s get wild at the Zoo!

September 05 - Solare is closed all day on Labor Day
To allow our Team to be able to spend Labor Day with family and friends, Solare will be closed all day on Monday, September 5th. We will be open again at 4:30pm on Tuesday, September 6.

September 01 - A Dinner & Evening with Madeira at Solare
This is a very exclusive and special Wine Dinner and Evening at Solare. Madeira! Very limited seating ~ around one community table with Mr. Jake Parrot.
Are you ready to go on a guided tour of the mythic but oft misunderstood wines of Madeira? We have teamed up with Jake Parrott of Haus Alpenz to put on a palate exploding tasting experience. Jake has an engrossing and captivating passion for the history and modern development of all things liquid and delicious, and Madeira is one of his favorites.
Combining the rooted Italian flavors of Solare Ristorante and the extraordinary Madeira wines of Henriques & Henriques, this bacchanal will open your eyes to the versatility of this storied elixir as a true accompaniment to the foods of the world. H&H is the only grower/producer in the denomination. This is a great opportunity to experience the full depth of madeira, from a company with a history dating to mid 1800’s.

Guests can expect unlimited bites and sips from more than 100 vendors along with live bands and entertainment, interactive art installations, relaxing lounge space, dancing and more.

August 05 - Solare Wine Dinner – An Evening in Barolo with Damilano Estate

Solare Wine Dinner – “An Evening in Barolo” Friday, August 5. 
I am delighted to announce that we just confirmed that Thomas Cuni from the legendary Barolo winery, Damilano Estate, is back in the US and at Solare to lead a very special Wine Dinner.
Damilano Estate was founded over 100 years ago in 1890, and is absolutely one of the top names in Barolo. They are one of the very few producers of Barolo from the Cannubi Cru. 
We will be drinking some of the best Barolo and Piemonte wines on the planet – with a Solare 4-course pairing menu.
And guess what?? Thomas sent us a 5 liter bottle of 2013 Damilano Barolo from the Cannubi cru. Wow!! As you may know – Cannubi is considered the top Cru in all of Barolo. Click here to see the huge 5 liter bottle.
Thomas has been to Solare before – and he is amazing!

Thomas will let us know firsthand what is happening right now in Barolo and Piemonte – and from what I learned at Vinitaly the ‘19’s are tasting delicious. Thomas is very engaging and fun.
