January 28 - Cooking Class – Authentic Pizza from Scratch Have you ever wanted to learn how to make pizza in the authentic style from the renowned city of Napoli? How about a tasty Sfincione from Sicily; Focaccia from Liguria? Here is your perfect opportunity — Pizza Chef Brian will guide you through each step – starting with making the dough from scratch. Each student will take home extra dough to show off their pizza making skills that evening at home! The fun starts at 10:30am at Solare with an Italian-style coffee of your choice and a pastry. January 19 - 16 Persons Total – Special “Evening with Port” Wine Dinner If you like Port – good port – then this is a must attend Wine Dinner. It is being held as a small boutique dinner in our private Prana Room and there will be a limit of 16 persons, including me! The port house is Fonseca and Taylor-Fladgate and every course is paired with a different port – starting with their “white Port”. Delicious. This is an extra special event because: 1) it is a boutique dinner that is limited to just 16 persons in our private room to keep it a more “intimate” gathering … and 2) there are amazing Ports, including: 1967 Taylor Fladgate “Very Old Single Harvest” Tawny Port rated 98 points by Wine Spectator and James Suckling … and other surprise gem too. The evening includes the 5-course dinner and 6 ports – the price is $125/person – and it starts at 6:30pm, Thursday, January 19. – 5 spots left

January 14 - Cooking Class: Fish and Shellfish + Fish Market Meet at Solare and drive together to a local fish market (less than 3 miles) to learn about fish and buying fresh fish with confidence. Then we all head back to Solare to prepare and cook some great seafood dishes. Chef Accursio was born on the coast of the island of Sicily, and he will teach you how to cook the following incredible dishes: Traditional Cioppino (fish stew), Crudo all’Italiana (sashimi Italian style!), and “Pesce alla Siciliana” (whole fish). Seafood lovers will not want to miss this opportunity. NOTE that for this class, the fun starts at 10am instead of the normal 10:30am as we are visiting the fish market. We meet at Solare with an Italian-style coffee of your choice and a pastry. January 01 - New Year’s Day Solare is closed all day on New Year’s Day to allow our Team to relax and be with their families and friends. We open again Tuesday, January 3, at 11:30am.

December 31 - Solare New Year’s Eve Dinner & Party! We are having a fabulous New Year’s Eve Dinner (4-course dinner) … and Party! Please plan on celebrating the New Year with the Solare Team. Here are the details: Special 4-course dinner from Chef Accursio ~~ 69++/person for seatings from 4:30pm to 6:15pm ~~ $85++/person for seatings starting at 6:30pm (includes the Party that night) ~~ Full Bar ~~ Party goes till 2am. It was fun last year. Special Note! The fine folks at the Marriott Courtyard right by Solare are making a limited block of rooms available to Solare customers at a reduced rate of $99 per night for New Year’s Eve (deadline December 19). That’s an incredible price available by contacting us! You can party with us at Solare and then just grab a shuttle or walk to your room. This is what I am doing! First come first served for the hotel block. The dinner and block of rooms will also sell out. Seating is limited. Reserve Now!

December 25 - Christmas Day Solare is closed all day on Christmas Day to allow our Team to relax and be with their families and friends. We open again Tuesday, December 27 (my birthday!), at 11:30am.
