August 27 - Napa Valley Wine Dinner ~ Keenan Winery with Michael Keenan

Announced!  We have a wonderful Napa Valley Wine Dinner that is happening on Wednesday, August 27.

We are very lucky to have the Winemaker and Owner of Keenan Winery, Michael Keenan, here to lead the dinner.

Note that Michael got us 3-liter bottles his Estate Merlot Reserve. We love the large format bottles!

As an additional special highlight – Michael is pouring rare “Capstone” wine. He feels it is his “crowning achievement” as a winemaker.

He only made it in 2020 and he has stated he will not make it again. 2020 was a blessed vintage for Keenan when everything came together beautifully. We are lucky to have it at the dinner.

Michael Keenan is a passionate and fascinating speaker. You’ll love meeting him – and having a direct connection for the next time you visit Napa Valley.

August 19 - Italian Wine Dinner – Tuscany – Poggio del Moro Estate

As Tommy highlights in his video overview (see link below), we are delighted that we have confirmed an Italian Wine Dinner with Poggio del Moro Estate – Tuscany!

The dinner is Tuesday, August 19

And This dinner is especially cool for three key reasons:

• We have Luigi Pagoni here in San Diego for one-night – and Luigi is both the Winemaker and Vineyard Manager. This is rare that someone with this knowledge of the terroir and vineyards is available for a wine dinner. I am excited!
• Their wines are delicious – and we have been able to order library selections including their 2016 Riserva and 2014 Super Tuscan. Wow!
• This estate is located in the Val d’Orcia area of southern Tuscany – just south of Siena. This is definitely one of the most gorgeous areas of all of Tuscany.

July 21 - Wine Dinner – Korbin Kameron Estate on Mt. Veeder Mayacamas Mountains

As you can tell from the video link below, I am most excited to have Korbin Ming here to lead this evening.

We are talking “mountain wines” from the Mt. Veeder Ridge on the Mayacamas Mountain Range.

When Tommy and I met Korbin (the winemaker) – tasted his wines – heard his story – we knew then and there that we wanted to have him at Solare so you could also meet him and experience what he has done.

Winery Highlights:

• High altitude – 2300 feet
• Entirely volcanic soil and terroir
• Korbin is the winemaker is very “down to earth” and really shares how these wines are made – super charismatic
• All estate grown – they have 19 acres of wines on an estate of 186 acres (gorgeous location)
