Class details and prices are found at this link. The price for each Class includes the hands-on cooking class, wine, and a full lunch. Limit is usually 12 students per class.
We love doing Cooking Classes here at Solare!
Our Cooking Classes offer a truly hands-on experience allowing each student to create Italian cuisine themselves to make at home. Our classes are not just a “demonstration”.
The fun typically starts at 10:30am at Solare (10am for some classes) with an Italian-style coffee of your choice. Italian wine is served for students interested in “cooking with wine”.

- Apr 26 — Gnocchi, Pesto, and Bolognese
- May 3 — Seafood Italian-style + Fish Market
- May 17 — Making Pizza from Scratch
- May 24 — Osso Buco and Risotto
- Jun 14 — Making Pasta from Scratch – Yes!
- Jun 28 — Lasagna with Chef Maria
The Classes do sell out fast due to the limited size.

June 26 - Italian Wine Dinner – An Evening in Alto Adige with Terlano Estate
We love Italian Wine Dinners! Join us in the Italian region of Alto Adige – Northern Italy on the border with Austria.
Thursday, June 26, we have Daniele Sbordi here with their wines of Terlano Estate Winery located just outside the historic village of Bolzano.
Founded in 1893, Terlano is one of Alto Adige’s most esteemed wine estates. Nestled in the Dolomite foothills, Terlano is renowned for its mountain-grown whites—crisp, mineral-driven, and age-worthy—and elegant alpine reds.
Key varietals include Pinot Noir, Pinot Bianco (wow!) and Lagrein.

- 6:30pm Reception followed by Dinner
- Includes their legendary Pinot Bianco wine as well as their Reserve Pinot Noir and Lagrein.

- $96/guest includes the 4-course dinner, 5 select wines

These are great wines from a great region of Italy – and Daniele is wonderful to lead this dinner.

July 18 - Solare – Best of San Diego Party 2025
Join Solare Ristorante at this fun fun Party – and it is right behind Solare too – by the fountains here in Liberty Station.

Each year, San Diego Magazine hosts a sold-out crowd to experience a curated mix of the things we love most in our city from tiki drinks to spa treatments. Advanced purchase of tickets is highly recommended.
