Class details and prices are found at this link. The price for each Class includes the hands-on cooking class, wine, and a full lunch. Class size limited.
We love doing Cooking Classes here at Solare!
Our Cooking Classes offer a truly hands-on experience allowing each student to create Italian cuisine themselves to make at home. Our classes are not just a “demonstration”.
The fun typically starts at 10:30am at Solare (10am for some classes) with an Italian-style coffee of your choice. Italian wine is served for students interested in “cooking with wine”.

- May 2 – Making Pasta from Scratch – Yes!
- May 23 – Lasagna with Chef Maria
- May 30 – Osso Buco and Risotto

May 24 - Special Sunday Lunch – Carlsbad Strawberry Company is Here!
Special Sunday Lunch at Solare Ristorante!
The happy focus is the incredible strawberries from the Carlsbad Strawberry Company.
Yes! We have co-owner and family member, Robyn Ukegawa, here.
The theme of the afternoon and our 4-course Italian menu is their delicious strawberries grown right here in Carlsbad. Every course highlights their strawberries.
These strawberries are just perfect and right in season – and they only sell berries that are picked that morning. So the strawberries for this lunch will be picked fresh Sunday morning and Robyn will bring them to Solare.

June 20 - June 21 - Father’s Day Weekend at Solare Ristorante
Join us for Father’s Day Weekend!
On Saturday and Sunday, June 20 and 21 – it’s this weekend. Reserve today to get the table and time you want.
We do have our Solare Wine Room and Chef’s Table.

Reservations begin at 11:30am on both Saturday and Sunday. We have a wonderful selection of special Italian dishes for Father’s Day.
We are doing special things with our Chocolate and Orange Semifreddo dessert – Piemontese style Veal Cheecks with Polenta – Seared Scallops – a special home-made pasta with a duck ragu – Maria’s minestrone – the Tomahawk Pork Chop (shown above) and more.

August 07 - Solare – Best of San Diego Party 2026
We won – and we have been invited to share fun dishes with you. Yay!
Join Solare Ristorante at this fun fun Party – and it is right behind Solare too – by the fountains here in Liberty Station.

The San Diego Magazine “Best of San Diego Party” is the ultimate summer celebration. The event brings together the top local restaurants, breweries, wineries, distilleries and businesses as featured in San Diego Magazine‘s Best Restaurants and Best of San Diego issues. Guests can expect unlimited bites and sips from more than 100 vendors along with live bands and entertainment, interactive art installations, relaxing lounge space, dancing and more.
Each year, San Diego Magazine hosts a sold-out crowd to experience a curated mix of the things we love most in our city from tiki drinks to spa treatments. Advanced purchase of tickets is highly recommended.
