We love doing Cooking Classes here at Solare!

Our Cooking Classes offer a truly hands-on experience allowing each student to create Italian cuisine themselves to make at home.  Our classes are not just a “demonstration”.

The fun typically starts at 10:30am at Solare (10am for some classes) with an Italian-style coffee of your choice.  Italian wine is served for students interested in “cooking with wine”.

• Jan 24 – Making Pizza from Scratch – Italiano!
• Feb 7 – Valentines Theme: Chocolate-infused Pasta + Chocolate Desserts + more
• Feb 21 – Gnocchi, Pesto, and Bolognese
• Feb 28 – Osso Buco and Risotto
• Mar 14 – Seafood Italian-style + Fish Market
• Mar 21 – Lasagna with Chef Maria
• Mar 28 – Making Pizza from Scratch – Italiano!

We are doing it again! An Italian “Sunday Wine Lunch” at Solare at 1pm, Sunday January 25.

As Tommy and I highlight in this video overview, we are delighted that we have confirmed an Italian Wine Sunday Lunch with Poggio del Moro Estate – Tuscany!

And this Sunday Wine Lunch is especially cool for these key reasons:

• We have Luigi Pagoni leading the lunch. Luigi is both the Winemaker and Vineyard Manager. This is rare that someone with this knowledge of the terroir and vineyards is available to share his insights.
• We also have Tatiana Kuznetsova joining the lunch – she is the owner of the estate – I have met her at the winery – and her passion for their wines is incredible.
• Both are joining via live video from their estate in Val d’Orcia. Real-time!
• Their wines are delicious – and we have been able to order library selections including their 2016 Riserva and 2014 Super Tuscan. Wow!
• This estate is located in the Val d’Orcia area of southern Tuscany – just south of Siena. This is definitely one of the most gorgeous areas of all of Tuscany.
