Class details and prices are found at this link. The price for each Class includes the hands-on cooking class, wine, and a full lunch. Class size limited.
We love doing Cooking Classes here at Solare!
Our Cooking Classes offer a truly hands-on experience allowing each student to create Italian cuisine themselves to make at home. Our classes are not just a “demonstration”.
The fun typically starts at 10:30am at Solare (10am for some classes) with an Italian-style coffee of your choice. Italian wine is served for students interested in “cooking with wine”.

- Apr 25 – Seafood Italian-style + Fish Market
- May 2 – Making Pasta from Scratch – Yes!
- May 23 – Lasagna with Chef Maria
- May 30 – Osso Buco and Risotto

- Jun 13 – Gnocchi, Pesto, and Bolognese
- Jun 20 – Father’s Day Weekend – Cooking Meat Italian and Solare-style
- Jun 27 – Making Pizza from Scratch – Italiano!

June 24 - Rioja Wine Dinner ~ Bodegas Montecillo
Rioja Wine Dinner at Solare!!
We have Bodegas Montecillo here for one-day on Wednesday, June 24. They were founded over 150 years ago in the heart of Rioja, Spain.
Pablo Garrido Cueva from Bodegas Montecillo leads the evening.
We are pouring their Tempranillo such as their Reserva and Gran Reserva as well as single varietal wines like their 100% Graciano and the 100% Garnacha.
As a special bonus, Pablo is bring his colleague, Juan, to carve delicious “Cinco Jotas” Jamon Iberico de Bellota directly from the leg. See the photo above. These pigs are raised on pure acorns which they love, and it creates a fabulous flavor to the meat.

August 07 - Solare – Best of San Diego Party 2026
We won – and we have been invited to share fun dishes with you. Yay!
Join Solare Ristorante at this fun fun Party – and it is right behind Solare too – by the fountains here in Liberty Station.

The San Diego Magazine “Best of San Diego Party” is the ultimate summer celebration. The event brings together the top local restaurants, breweries, wineries, distilleries and businesses as featured in San Diego Magazine‘s Best Restaurants and Best of San Diego issues. Guests can expect unlimited bites and sips from more than 100 vendors along with live bands and entertainment, interactive art installations, relaxing lounge space, dancing and more.
Each year, San Diego Magazine hosts a sold-out crowd to experience a curated mix of the things we love most in our city from tiki drinks to spa treatments. Advanced purchase of tickets is highly recommended.
