March 16, 2020 — As you may have heard, the County of San Diego just issued an updated order that there will be no on-site dining through March 31. All food served shall be by delivery or through pick-up.

And Solare is ready.

You can continue to enjoy the delicious dishes we prepare – and there are three ways you can make that happen:

  • To-Go: Call us and we can have your order ready when you arrive (see our menus online)
  • Curbside: If you’d prefer, we can bring your food out curbside. Easy!
  • Delivery: We work with DoorDash for Pizza, Lasagna, and Italian Soups – just click here

We have new Italian soups and broths just in time for Spring:

  • Solare’s Minestone – Solare’s wholesome and hearty Minestrone soup is a a deliciously filling meal or starter any day of the year — A delightful combination of Lentils, potato, leek, carrot, beans, peas and more
  • Brodo d’Osso – Solare’s Brodo is clarified slow cooked beef bone broth. Pure delicious healthy bone broth.
  • Zuppa Ceci – Tuscan Classic: rosemary scented heirloom garbanzo bean soup infused with an Italian soffritto
  • Zuppa di Zucca – Solare’s famous organic Butternut Squash soup … infused with just a hint of white chocolate and Solare love

Finally, we are maintaining our online community on Facebook and Instagram – and emails and calls to us. We’re here to keep the conversation going and to answer any food and cooking questions you have.

In fact, if cannot enjoy our Solare dishes, and you are cooking Italian dishes at home – let us know if you have a cooking question we may be able to answer – contact us! We are here with you no matter what.

Food is the power that brings us together.

With Love,

-Randy and the Solare Team

March 14, 2020 — Hi – this is Randy it is Saturday March 14 — and I am taking a moment to share my thoughts after the unimaginable week that we all just experienced. And I know that you are all equally concerned about what may happen in the week ahead.

I am an optimistic (you know that!) guy but also a realistic guy – and I am very confident we will all work together no matter what situations we encounter.

In that spirit — here are a few key items to keep you updated .

First, if you would like to continue to enjoy the delicious dishes we prepare – there are three ways you can make that happen:

  • To-Go: Call us and we can have your order ready when you arrive
  • Curbside: If you’d prefer, we can bring your food out curbside. Easy!
  • Delivery: We work with DoorDash for Pizza, Lasagna, and Italian Soups – just click here

And note: we do have great Italian soups you can enjoy at Solare – or To-Go or Curbside or Delivery through DoorDash.

You will love these soups and broths:

  • Solare’s Minestone – Solare’s wholesome and hearty Minestrone soup is a a deliciously filling meal or starter any day of the year — A delightful combination of Lentils, potato, leek, carrot, beans, peas and more
  • Brodo d’Osso – Solare’s Brodo is clarified slow cooked beef bone broth. Pure delicious healthy bone broth.
  • Zuppa Ceci (e Gamberi) – Tuscan Classic: rosemary scented heirloom garbanzo bean soup infused with an Italian soffritto
  • Zuppa di Zucca – Solare’s famous organic Butternut Squash soup … infused with just a hint of white chocolate and Solare love

And – we have been taking so many additional steps to ensure that we are taking good care of you at Solare:

  • Social Distancing – Tommy has removed tables and “re-designed” the dining areas so there is lots of space between guests at any two tables
  • We have imposed even greater cleaning and sanitizing requirements for dining and common areas – all menus are cleaned after each guest
  • The Solare team has strict requirements for regular hand scrubbing
  • All team members know to stay home if feeling ill at all and all management is closely monitoring this
  • We are enforcing “touch free” greetings
  • And – we are adhering to the guidance from local, state and federal health authorities.

Finally, we are maintaining our online community on Facebook and Instagram – and emails to us. We’re here to keep the conversation going and to answer any food and cooking questions you have.

In fact, if cannot enjoy our Solare dishes, and you are cooking Italian dishes at home – let us know if you have a question we may be able to answer – contact us! We are here with you no matter what.

Food is the power that brings us together.

With Love,
